Men's Triathlon Wetsuits
Every Zoot men's triathlon wetsuit is built on a men's pattern with gender-specific panels and comes in regular and tall sizes. Below you will find which model suits your swimming, how to choose your size and answers to common questions.
Which men's wetsuit suits your swimming?
The more your legs sink, the more buoyancy you need. The flatter you already lie in the water, the more you gain from flexible shoulders. Every model below is available in men's sizes, and the links filter this page.
- First triathlon or new to open water: Maui, with balanced buoyancy and a forgiving fit.
- Regular training and racing: Kona 2.0 or Bolt 2.0, both with AQUAlift buoyancy that raises the hips.
- Ambitious age-groupers: Manta, fully coated with Yamamoto SCS neoprene for low drag.
- Race-focused swimmers: Wikiwiki Aurora Float for extra lift, Wikiwiki Aurora Flex for maximum shoulder freedom, or the Wikiwiki 2.0 and 3.0 race suits.
- Cold water: Tundra, with a thermal fleece lining.
- Races without wetsuits: the Wikiwiki Speedzoot and Ultra HydroX swimskins, worn over your tri suit.
Maui, Kona 2.0 and Manta are also available as sleeveless versions for warm water and extra shoulder freedom. All models are compared in detail in our triathlon wetsuit overview.
Regular or tall: finding your size
Men's wetsuits are available from XS to 2XL. Every wetsuit model also comes in two tall sizes: ST (Small Tall) and MT (Medium Tall). A tall size has the same chest measurement as S or M but is cut longer in the body, for athletes who are tall for their build.
- Start with your height and weight in the men's wetsuit size chart.
- If S or M fits your chest but the suit pulls at the crotch or presses on the shoulders, choose ST or MT.
- If the chest feels tight while the length is right, go up one regular size.
- Swimskins and buoyancy shorts come in regular sizes only. For a swimskin, choose the same size as your Zoot tri suit.
FAQ
Why are there separate men's and women's wetsuits?
Zoot cuts men's and women's wetsuits with gender-specific panels. A suit made for your build seals better at the neck, back and hips, so less water flushes through and the suit keeps its warmth and lift. Models with a women's cut are on our page for women's triathlon wetsuits.
Who should choose ST or MT?
Athletes who are tall and slim for their size. ST and MT match S and M in chest size but are longer in the body, so the suit sits high enough at the crotch and does not restrict your shoulders.
Should I choose a sleeved or a sleeveless men's wetsuit?
A sleeved wetsuit is warmer and faster for most races, because coated neoprene glides better than skin. A sleeveless wetsuit gives you more shoulder freedom and suits warm water. Maui, Kona 2.0 and Manta are available in both versions.
What size swimskin do I need?
Swimskins are cut race fit with built-in compression. Choose the same size as your Zoot tri suit. It feels tight at first and relaxes once it is zipped up and in the water.
