Women's Cycling Shorts & Bib Shorts
Women's cycling shorts and bib shorts, each with a chamois shaped for women: bib shorts in two leg lengths, high-rise shorts, cargo bibs for gravel and warm bibs for cold days. This page helps you choose the right leg length, the fabric that suits you, shows options for gravel and cold days and answers common questions.
Which leg length suits you?
Our women's shorts come in two leg lengths. The shorter one suits riders with shorter legs or anyone who prefers less fabric on the thigh.
| Inseam | Models | What it means on the bike |
|---|---|---|
| 7" | Core Cycle 7" Bib | A shorter leg in a relaxed fit |
| 8" | Elite Cycle Bib, LTD Seamless Bib Short, Elite High-Rise Short and Elite Cargo Bib | Coverage and muscle support without restricting movement |
Whether bib shorts or high-rise shorts suit you better, and which model fits your riding, is explained on our page for women's cycling clothing. The differences between our chamois are on the cycling shorts page.
Which fabric suits you?
- Second skin: the Seamless models and the Elite Cycle Bib use an ultra-soft, high-stretch fabric with laser-cut leg openings and silicone grippers that stay put without squeezing.
- Light compression: the Elite High-Rise Short is made from an Italian double-knit fabric that feels smooth and gives light compression.
- Firm support: the LTD Exos Bib uses Exos compression fabric, which supports circulation and your muscles on long, hard rides.
- Relaxed: the Core models have a relaxed athletic fit for riders who do not want a tight cut.
For gravel and cold days
- Gravel and long self-supported rides: the women's cargo bibs have a pocket on each leg, a mesh pocket on the bib upper and reflective trim at the back.
- Cool days: the Elite Cycle Thermo Bib with brushed-back fleece on the legs and a fleeced bib upper. Pair it with knee or leg warmers.
- Winter: the Elite Hallocore Thermal Bib Tight with Hallocore fleece, a water-repellent outer layer and reflective details.
Finding your size
- Zoot shorts are cut race fit. If you are between two sizes or want a softer feel, choose the next size up.
- Check the fit sitting on the bike: the chamois lines up with your sit bones and lies flat, and the straps or waistband do not pull.
- If the grippers roll or press into your thighs, try the next size up.
FAQ
Which leg length is right for women's cycling shorts?
Most of our women's models have an 8" inseam, which ends a little above the knee. If you have shorter legs or find longer shorts restrictive, try the Core Cycle 7" Bib.
Which women's cycling shorts are best for gravel?
Cargo bibs. They have the same kind of chamois as our road bibs, plus pockets on the legs and on the bib upper, so you can carry food and spares on long days.
What should women wear on cold rides?
On cool days, a thermo bib with knee or leg warmers. In winter, full-length bib tights with a fleece lining, such as the Elite Hallocore Thermal Bib Tight.
